SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

Scientific activity is aimed at understanding the role of adipose tissue as well as lipid and mitochondrial metabolism mainly in the context of human pathologies associated with oxidative stress, inflammation and aging including neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes and cancer. The research activity is also dedicated to the study of the effects of different dietary patterns, nutrients and molecules of plant origin on energy homeostasis with particular regard to the modulation of tissue metabolism in order to identify new nutritional approaches for the prevention and / or treatment of age-related and inherited metabolic diseases.
