ATTIVITÀ SCIENTIFICA

L’attività scientifica è rivolta a comprendere il ruolo del tessuto adiposo e del metabolismo lipidico e mitocondriale principalmente nell’ambito di patologie umane associate allo stress ossidativo, all’infiammazione e all’invecchiamento quali le malattie neurodegenerative, il diabete ed il cancro. L’attività di ricerca è anche dedicata allo studio degli effetti di diversi pattern dietetici, nutrienti e molecole di origine vegetale sull’omeostasi energetica con particolare riguardo alla modulazione del metabolismo del tessuto adiposo e del tessuto muscolare allo scopo di identificare nuovi approcci nutrizionali per la prevenzione e/o cura delle patologie metaboliche incluse quelle ereditarie ed età-correlate.

 

PRODUTTIVITÀ E IMPATTO

Autrice di n. 70 pubblicazioni in riviste internazionali “peer-reviewed”, di n. 3 capitoli di libro, di 50 pubblicazioni su atti di congresso. Ha un h index di 35 e circa 6400 citazioni (Scopus).
